Treatment overview

Ultrasound scans provide immediate, dynamic images of soft tissues and joints, helping clinicians accurately diagnose issues like ligament tears, fluid buildup, or abnormal growths. The procedure involves applying gel to the skin and moving a handheld transducer over the area to generate images on a screen:

The Process:

  • No fasting or special prep required.
  • Gel is applied; the transducer glides over the area (10–30 mins).
  • Discussed immediately or sent to your specialist.

Patients needing a safe, radiation-free alternative to X-rays or MRIs.

  • Safe for all ages, including pregnant women.
  • Captures movement (e.g., blood flow, joint motion).
  • Resume normal activities immediately.
  • Often cheaper than MRI/CT scans.
